First of all, what do you consider love to be? I think people have love for their family and friends and then they also have that special love for that special someone. To me, when someone says "I love you" to a loved one they mean that they trust them, care for them and will be with them until the end. Of course as people change, they don't stick to that trust and abandon the people they loved. This may be a good thing or a bad one, it just depends. I honestly believe love can't have just one definition but that's my opinion. I've never been in love romantically so I can't really help you there too much.

What is this question doing in diet and fitness? I'll tell you what love isn't--it isn't rock-hard abs and firm butts. It's what makes you stay with a person after his "six-pack" has started to look more like a "keg," or her "buns of steel" have turned into a couple of feed sacks that could cover two chairs instead of one.I have a friend at work. She's about 63, give or take. She was telling me that she would probably have to quit her evening job because it was taking her an hour to help her husband into bed (he has Parkinson's disease), and between getting home late and taking so much time getting him to bed, she wasn't getting to bed herself until after midnight.She wasn't complaining about how hard it was. It wasn't about that. She talks about her husband having Parkinson's disease like it was some odd little quirk of his. I guess I'm not saying this very well. What I'm trying to say is that this couples' feelings for each other didn't change because she's fat and he's barely able to move. They accept each other for who they are and they continue to feel the same affection for each other that they always have. That's what love is.

Love is different for each of us with the exception of some very fundamental aspects and I am talking about "REAL LOVE". It is unconditional, never ending, patience, trust, devotion. It hurts each day that you are away from the person. It is not all about looks but what is inside your heart, your mind, your soul. When you love someone,,, really love that person, you will not trade that person for all the women or all the men in the world. You will gladly do anything including giving your life for that person. Love is everything, it is about giving and not expecting anything in return. It is more important what you feel for that person than what that person feels for you. Love is painful when the other person does not feel the same way you. Real love for someone will test you in every way. You just have to know your limits, how long you will wait, how long you will hold it. You may be the most in love human on the planet but you can also be the loneliest person, at times when it hits you the most. Yet you will never be completly alone because that person is in your heart, that person will own your heart and that person will never forget you as long as he or she lives knowing that he or she is in your heart, your mind. Love knows no time, the days, the months, the years will pass because real love is timeless.
